CHAPTER 1 (1 of 9)
EXPLANATIONS AND CAUSES
-
The purpose for this book is not to be another exhortation to live holy, but rather to obey God. Holiness, piety, righteous living is the manifested fruit of obedience to God. The righteous nature of God that is planted in our spirit and soul when we repent of our sin out of a heart of sincerity and truth (giving us the born-again event) compels us to obey God. But, it is the sinful nature that is still bound in our flesh that constantly wars against our performing what is our new nature to do, which is to obey God's perfect will for our life instead of sin.
-
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:  But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind [soul], and bringing me into captivity  to the law of sin which is in my members. (Romans 7:22-23)
-
The Holy Spirit is the One who removes the sinful nature that is in our spirit and soul then replaces it with the righteous nature of God.  As a result of this change God no longer is just our Creator, He now becomes our Father (scripture refers to this as adoption), and we take on the role of a son and daughter.  In God's sight we are no longer Sinners, but we are now Saints.
-
For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (Romans 8:15)
-
To redeem them that were under the law [condemnation], that we might receive the adoption of sons. (Galatians 4:5)
-
God’s status for the Sinner is Creator, but His status for the Saint is Creator and Father.  The Sinner is under the wrath of God (condemnation), while the Saint is under the favor of God. God being able to get through to us the revelation that we are a Sinner in need of a Savior, and the knowledge that there is a fiery judgment awaiting us if we do not repent, compelled us to give our heart to Him.  Knowing the judgment of God toward the Sinner causes us to compel others as God compelled us, to REPENT.
-
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.  (2 Corinthians 5:11)
-
This book is not intended to be an exhaustive teaching on Revelation chapters two and three. God has a standard of holiness that can only be fulfilled in and through our flesh, when we make the Effort obey His perfect will.  We cannot obey God's perfect will for our life without the power of the Holy Spirit; this power is given to us when we ask God for this greater anointing, found in receiving His Baptism with the Holy Spirit, with whom the Power, the glossolalia, and the Gifts are associated. The book of Acts clearly shows that the work of salvation (being born-again), and the receiving of God’s Power are two separate events accomplished by the Holy Spirit.
-
But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me.  (Acts 1:8a)
-
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:4)
-
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit: (For as yet He was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus). (Acts 8:15-16)
-
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied. (Acts 19:5-6)
-
It is without God’s "Power" that causes many, who do not have it, to create their own moral code to justify their disobedience and inability on their own to obey God's perfect will as Jesus obeyed, they deceiving themselves in believing that God is satisfied with their meager effort to comply with His will. Anything less than obeying God's perfect will is unacceptable behavior toward God; which not only will engage His wrath against us, and dependent on the severity of our willful and defiant disobedience rebellion could jeopardize the salvation of our soul when we pass from this life. I write could because God is the Eternal Judge of all such matters.
-
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found your works perfect before God. (Revelation 3:2)
-
Wherefore we labor, that whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he has done, whether it be good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:9-10)
-
And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward [Gr. reward and punishment] is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work. (Revelation 22:12)

My Facebook Timeline - www.facebook.com/samuelsiders1 - contains responses I have posted in answer to those who God has had me to share with for over seventeen years on Facebook Forums created to share the Scriptures. My activity about sharing the Word of God with Muslims, other false Cults, and with those who profess to be Christian continues; this open door that the Lord has made available to me as an Apologist/Teacher is one where worldwide opportunities are made available to all English speaking people around the world from many different countries, races, and religious beliefs.

-
It is WRITTEN in 1 Peter 3:15 … “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" God wants us to know AND understand His Word (2 Timothy 2:15), “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Jude 3, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend [Gr. agonize with fervent zeal] for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”

I had a discussion with a person who goes by the name Brain SM this past week who asked the question “how can Jesus’ human nature be good if it is not God;” I responded: because Jesus did not have a biological father. As our conversation progressed I explained that Original Sin doctrine teaches we inherited the CURSE God placed on Adam – not – Adam’s sin contrary to his error. Brain SM asked how can a Spirit have substance to give birth. What follows are Four of the responses I posted to answer Brain’s questions and correct his errors:

=

Brain M … (How could Jesus’ human nature be good if it is not God?) … because Jesus' BODY did not have a biological father; Jesus is the Only One of His kind in - spirit soul AND body - His BODY having been Virgin born. The Only spirit and soul that Almighty God ever gave BIRTH to from His personal Substance and for this reason Jesus is - correctly - called the "ONLY begotten SON of God." All other spirit and souls are CREATED by God – Not – birthed by Him, and that Jesus’ spirit and soul was BIRTHED by Almighty God from His personal substance. Brain SM questioned how God could have substance since He is a Spirit. I provided scriptural facts that the Bible teaches Almighty God has Substance and that He also has a Soul of His own, just that His substance is different than ours.

=

Brain M ... We do - not - inherit Adam's sin; we inherit the Curse God placed on Adam. If you - could understand - the JEWISH doctrine of Original Sin it teaches that the Curse God placed on Adam is passed on through the biological father, and Apostle Paul taught Jesus is Almighty God's Provided CURE and sacrifice for the "curse" to be removed; the curse is eternal torment in the lake of fire. Aside from this fact, Apostle Paul a trained Jewish Pharisee, mentions some information found in the doctrine of Original Sin as written in Romans 5:12-15 and 1 Corinthians 15:21-22.

=

Brain M ... I do not expect you to understand the answer. The BIBLE teaches there is Only One God who is the Father Almighty God, whose personal Holy Spirit, and Only begotten Son Jesus in His spirit and soul are deity LIKE the ONE God who is the Father Almighty God because of His personal Substance, which You call "essence." Since all three are OF the same Substance (Almighty God's) ALL three have the Same Nature which is RIGHTEOUS. They are - separate sentients - Not - one in the same person, having functions and purposes of their own.

=

Brain M ... your first sentence the BIBLE does not agree with "3 Gods," again: the BIBLE teaches there is Only One God, and so does Trinity theology.

-

As for God being a Spirit the BIBLE teaches HE does have "substance" as found using the Greek for Hebrews 1:3, hypostasis means Substance, translated "person" in the reference, and John 3:16 "Only begotten (Birthed)" is the Greek word Monogenes with the word "genes" being the Keyword; Jesus inherited in His spirit and soul - a lot - of what His Father Almighty God is like.

-

With these Biblical Facts a person would be Totally deceived to believe that Almighty God being a Spirit does not have "substance," only that His substance is not like ours. FYI Leviticus 26:11 tells you that Almighty God also has a SOUL of His own, which helps to explain the correct meaning of what Genesis 1:26-27 tells us about OUR spirit and soul: Male and Female – created – He them.”
